This document presents the design process for enhancing the user experience of the movie recommendation app Letterboxd using a First Person View (FPV) perspective. My goal is to increase traffic within the app. I will begin by introducing Letterboxd and the issues that I faced while using the app. Then, I will outline the design process, which includes understanding the problem, defining the problem, ideating solutions, and prototyping ideas. Finally, I will conclude with a summary of the research I conducted to address the problems faced by users and redefined problem statements that better clarify the pain points.

What is letterboxd and why does it matter ?
As a movie enthusiast, I frequently find myself on the lookout for new and exciting films to watch. However, the process of discovering new movies can often be overwhelming, with an abundance of information available online. In my search for a better solution, I stumbled upon the movie recommendation app, letterboxd. This app allows me to connect with other users and receive more reliable recommendations from real people. While I find letterboxd to be a valuable tool, I have also noticed areas for improvement. Some features are confusing to navigate, and performing simple tasks can be frustrating. I believe that with a redesign, letterbox could become even more user-friendly and enhance its overall value as a movie recommendation app.
To enhance the overall user experience within the movie directory, thereby driving increased traffic within the app
